Q1.) Do you think that if stereotypes depicted in the media regarding the LGBTQ community are “true” or “accurate”, are they still harmful?
Q2.) How do screenplay writers/directors/producers/actors who may not have direct experience with the LGBTQ community accurately portray these characters?
In response to Jack, I believe more and more people are going to feel comfortable coming out as society becomes increasingly accepting, therefore creating a bigger platform socially and politically.
Q1: Do you think movies are changing the LGBTQ community.
Q2: Do you think that media blows LGBTQ out of proportion and social media is a negative effect.
A1:In response to macy yes we will start to see more of gay couples in shows on tv.
Q1: Do you agree with including LGBTQ people in children shows?
Q2: Do you think having LGBTQ scenes in shows change ratings and views in tv shows?
In response to Macy, I do believe there would be a lot more LGBTQ scenes shown in modern tv shows because tv show creators want to show the acceptance of the LGBTQ community and appeal different people in society.
Q1. does accepting LGBT now going to make a change in the future?
Q2. Do you think that putting too much of LGBT type of scenes on TV should be aloud?
in response to Delaney no I don't think it is ok to just put that out there in front of kids. Like as a older person when I see it in movies I still think it is a little weird but that is me not everyone else. I think they should put it in a different way instead of so straight forward.
1) Do you believe that input from LGBTQ should be encouraged for producers to produce the most accurate representation of relationships on tv to prevent stereotypes?
2) Do you feel as if lesbian and gay relations get highlighted more in film then bi, trans, and questioning?
In response to Delaney, I believe that it is important to show LGBTQ in films with a young audience because it will help the evolving society create a new norm.
