For this video, either:
1. Comment 1 question
OR
2. Comment something that interested you about this music video and state WHY it interests you. Do not just say "I thought that one part was interesting."
Next, you will respond to someone else's comment on this post. Try to focus on the rhetorical situation, that this is a music video that adapts multiple movies (Mean Girls, Legally Blond, Bring It ON, etc.), and that it is also a song. Does the lyrics of song fit the music video's adaptation of the selected movies? Just a question to help you analyze this video.
The most interesting part of this music video was how blatant it was in communicating that people put celebrities on such a high pedestal. Obviously, they were all actor portrayals, but there was a lot of truth in what they were saying about this generation and what we make life out to be.
In response to Jack's question: My favorite part of the video is when she was brushing her teeth next to her friend (possibly boyfriend) in the bathroom. It was a great example of how you can find enjoyment in real life situations.
Do you think the movies present in the music video were specifically chosen as they all seem to have common themes?
In response to Spencer, I think all of the movies in the video represented female empowerment.
I haven't really listen to Ariana in a while but this song was pretty nice. Its not like i would put it on my top song playlist because i'm into latin music and classical music. At the beginning it was like watching a reality show but going with the song.
in response to Leemor they did this to impersonate the character and like Dylaney said to have female empowerment.
I am curious as to the importnace of the different celebrities in the music video and what they represented.
Off of R'mani's post, I think they did an amazing job with the setting of the school and how Ariana is consiteredd the popular girl that everyone looks to just like she is in the music industry.

Do you agree that the characters in the beginning are supposed to exemplify the negative effects that pop stars have on today’s youth?
In response to Jack, my favorite part of the music video was the beginning where all the characters say what they did because of Ariana Grande because it was funny to me.
